I'm so ready for winter break it's ridiculous. What's exciting about this first semester is I am now half way finished with my general education, so after this upcoming semester I'll be working towards my major. Selecting an actual major is tough. It really didn't go farther than that, thought wise. The ultimate goal of this blog in particular is to discuss my life as a student in San Diego. <br /><br />So this is me:<br /><br />I am currently a student at a community college in San Diego. I've got a full time schedule consisting of 12 units. This semester I decided to give online classes a go, and I seriously recommend it for any disciplined individual. Let me stress the word 'disciplined' though. I don't think passing classes based on the syllabus' of my classes is difficult, but if you don't actually spend the time to learn the material, you will fail.<br /><br />The two online courses I chose to take this year are Political Science 101 and College Algebra. Honestly I took the math class, because I have a friend who is a great tutor. I wouldn't recommend the taking a math, though my Political Science class is awesome.<br /><br />My other two classes are English 101 and American History 109. I don't mind going to these classes, because before I scheduled myself, I used <a href="http://www.ratemyprofessors.com">Rate My Professors</a>. This a great site that allows you to rate professors you've had, as well as see what other people have rated other professors.<br /><br />I've set my schedule up based off the IGETC 2008-2009 transfer program. I really don't think you need to go to a councelor as often as people do.
